1.FADC’s secondary objective is also to provide technical support to organisations and individuals working in the fields of conflict transformation, peacebuilding, countering violent extremism, conciliation, and climate change as well as youth and women empowerment. To successfully sustains its core capacity development initiatives, FADC has entered an MOU with:
a.Horn of Africa Consulting Link (Hacol)- a transnational peace, conflict, and Climate Change Capacity Development consultancy firm based in Mandera and Nairobi-Kenya. The firm services stretch to the depth and breadth of the Horn of Africa region, including Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Djibouti.
b.Maarifa Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies is a collaborative effort of Maarifa College and Mandera Peace and Development Agency, MPDA (locally as Mandera District Peace Committee), FADC and Horn of Africa of Consulting Link. The institute’s principal objective is to provide academic and practical leadership on how to mitigate and respond to conflict without resorting to violence. To fulfill this noble mandate, the centre aims to draw from a variety of resources such as the local wealth of peace practitioners, fellowships, research, education, training, innovation, publications and local and international partnerships. The institute is at first face of inception.
2.FADC in partnership with HaCOL developed Climate change, rainwater harvesting, natural resources conservation, environmental management and diversification of livelihoods baseline study in Mandera County 2015 for Danish International Development Agency/The EU and Kenya Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF), Kenya
3. FADC have recently 2017 been selected by the County Commissioner’s Office-Mandera to conduct the development of P/CVE county specific Action plans on behalf of National Counter-Terrorism Center(NCTC-Kenya.
4. In 2015, FADC in partnership with HaCOL conducted Organizational Capacity Development exercise for CSOs in Mandera for Danish International Development Agency/The EU and Kenya Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF)
5. FADC in partnership with Horn of Africa Consulting Link (HaCOL) conducted conflict Analysis and stakeholder mapping for Social Dialogue Ambassadors: Countering Religious Extremism through Youth Involvement in Mandera, Kwale and Mombasa Counties 2017.
6. FADC leadership benefited the prestigious President Obama's signature initiative for Young African Leaders through Mandela Washington Fellowship May- Sept 2016 at USA
7. FADC is the regional representative of North Eastern-Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI)/ Mandela Washington Fellowship that mentors and put transformative leadership initiatives for young people.
